FAQ
Questions we get asked.
Including the ones where the honest answer is "no" or "it depends".
Channels and results
Which channel should we start with?
It depends on your unit economics, buying cycle and existing data. We work that out before recommending anything. Any agency naming a channel before understanding your economics is guessing.
Can you guarantee a cost per acquisition?
No. We can model a target from your economics and market, agree it as the measure, and report honestly against it. Guarantees in acquisition are either heavily caveated or not credible.
How long before we see results?
Depends on buying cycle and volume. Enough conversions are needed to draw conclusions, and short cycles read faster than long ones. We will estimate the learning period at the outset rather than after.
Affiliate programmes
Do you have an existing partner network?
We recruit against the brief rather than plugging every client into the same list. Partner fit matters more than partner count.
How do you vet partners?
We establish who they are, how they generate traffic including any sub-affiliates, what claims their material makes, and how they capture any personal data. Partners who will not disclose their traffic sources are not activated.
What happens if a partner breaches the terms?
They are removed. Enforcement that is not enforced is just documentation.
Data and permission
Do you buy data?
No. Where a campaign generates leads, permission is captured at the point of collection with the wording shown, its version, the source and the time.
Who is the controller for lead data?
Agreed and documented before a campaign runs, because it determines obligations on both sides. We do not leave it implied.
How are opt-outs handled?
Applied across the programme, not just the campaign that generated them, and treated as standing until there is a fresh, evidenced agreement.
Do you give legal advice?
No. We operate to a defined standard and keep the evidence, but your compliance position is yours to take with proper advice.
Working together
What do you need to start?
What a customer is worth, what you can pay to acquire one, and how you will judge success. Plus access to whatever measurement already exists.
What reporting do we get?
Performance against the agreed measure, reconciled across platforms, including what underperformed and what was changed or removed.
Will you tell us if a channel is not working?
Yes, and sooner than is comfortable. Continuing to spend on something that is not working helps nobody.
